Far from now, but not that far, it is a crime to engineer the body. For Syx, whose body is slowly withering, this ban is a death sentence. Refusing to disappear in the name of purity, she operates in secret: altering herself to survive, building robotic selves, and seeking a form that can hold her.
Her journey leads her beneath the ocean, to a quiet commune where others have fled the surface and remade themselves in the deep. There, she finds the embrace of travelers who have sought solace by returning to the womb of the sea. At the center is Ouranais, who offers a vision of wholeness beyond the self: porous, shared, dissolved into the living ocean.
But Syx rejects this vision and flees.
She moves forward. Not back to the womb of the ocean, but upward and through, toward a stranger form of life. What can be shed? What must be carried? What remains human after the body is gone?
Blending tabletop puppetry, shadow play, digital projection, and electronic music, Endless Forms follows Syx through a series of changes, as she seeks a form always just beyond reach.
